Brenna and Graham first met at the Indianapolis International Airport on their way to Denver for a ski trip. They were invited separately by mutual friends (shout out Orr Fellowship).
Graham first noticed Brenna’s Patagonia joggers and Brenna his Hershel duffel.
Although they equally respected each other’s brand choices, it wasn't till they caught the gondola together when they really got to talking.
Over the trip, they bonded over Blink 182, Portlandia, childhood soccer, dislike of the game “four on a couch”, and love of specialty coffee.
Graham asked Brenna out for specialty coffee while they returned the Hertz rental car. Now, we’re throwing a party.
Hi, this is Graham... I'm going to tell the story of how I asked Brenna Bell to marry me!
It started back on our 5th date. I picked up a couple of disposable cameras (you remember the ones) and gave them to Brenna as a gift. The goal was to carry them along on all our adventures and snag photos that we could [one day] look back at. If you were along for some of the adventures, you've seen us use them.
Fast forward 1.5yrs, I purchased a ring, got her family's permission and was trying to fill up the last few clicks left on the cameras.
To me, in my role in advertising, its all about the concept and my concept was to surprise Brenna with an art gallery featuring the never-seen prints from the cameras ... and ask her to marry me.
And it went like...
I rented out a retail space on Mass Ave in Indianapolis, hired a local muralist, secretly developed the photos, and mounted them along the walls of the space.
The day was May 16th, we went out to eat with two of our close friends. Afterward, Brenna and I went on a walk down mass ave. When she noticed a sign outside the space that read "Allgood" — she knew it was no ordinary gallery. We stumbled in to the tune of our favorite song and peaking into our most fun memories — brought to life on the walls. The last photo had a ring sitting next to it and that's when I got on one knee to propose.
She said yes.. and that.. is how I asked Brenna to marry me. It was the most amazing night of my life (so far) and celebrating with friends and family in the space afterwards made it feel like a dream. Thanks for listening :)
